When making a Carti type beat, consider layering distorted synths or guitars with softer pads or ambient sounds to imitate this dual style. The OBSESSION beat demonstrates this by combining melodic guitar-like textures with aggressive trap drums and 808s, making it versatile for various vocal deliveries.

Tips for Producing a Playboi Carti Type Beat

1. Start with a simple but catchy melodic loop—preferably in a minor key like Cm.
2. Program punchy 808s with occasional distortion to add grit.
3. Use trap drum kits emphasizing hi-hat rolls, snappy snares, and deep kicks.
4. Add atmospheric elements such as reverb-heavy synths or pads to create space.
5. Keep the arrangement dynamic, introducing and removing elements to maintain interest.
6. Experiment with vocal chops or ad-libs if possible, inspired by Carti’s signature style.
7. Ensure the beat leaves room for vocal flow without overcrowding frequencies.
